OYT Scotland Skipper

OYT Scotland requires a skipper to join their staff team in the Season March - October 2012. He/she will maintain and operate OYT Scotland vessels, including Challenge 72' and an Oyster 70'. Delivering a safe, enjoyable and effective sail training programme.

Applicants should have extensive experience on sail training vessels and must be qualified to a minimum of RYA Yachtmaster Offshore with Commercial Endorsement. Offers of appointment will be subject to the consideration of PVG scheme records (previously Enhanced Disclosure).

Skipper/Manager for RoRo Sailing Project

The RoRo Sailing Project runs two purpose built wheelchair accessible cruising yachts based In Port Solent.

They work in partnership with the Gwenilli Trust to provide sailing opportunities for disabled people.

OVERVIEW

A practical and experienced sailor who can take on the complete running of two charter yachts, including general maintenance, promoting the activity, finding clients, running the diary, finding and managing volunteers.

Gordonstoun School Sail Training Second Mate

Gordonstoun School Sail Training Department has a vacancy for a Second Mate on board "Ocean Spirit of Moray" for the 2012 sailing season. Candidates should be available to begin work early in April 2012.

The Second Mate post is a seasonal appointment on board our 24m sail training vessel "Ocean Spirit of Moray" and requires candidates to have already accrued experience on board Sail Training vessels in a position of responsibility. We require applicants to hold RYA Day Skipper/Watch Leader certificate as a minimum qualification, Power Boat qualifications and maintenance experience would be an advantage.

Trinity Sailing Foundation have vacancies for one permanent skipper and one relief skipper.

Trinity Sailing Foundation own three Traditional gaff fishing trawlers; Leader is a 105' ketch, Provident is a 95' ketch and Golden Vanity is a 53' Cutter, all based in Brixham, South Devon. Trinity undertake sail training voyages for young people, RYA courses and Charter holidays. Their area of operation is the South West Coast, Brittany and West Coast of Scotland.

Volunteers needed for Refit in Canaries

Appeal for help

We are currently preparing a 1932 gaff schooner for Christian retreats and other uses in the Canaries. We urgently appeal for volunteers to help with mechanical and electrical work, plumbing, painting, sanding, carpentry and cleaning. We may also need crew to move the boat.
